Teaching Experience
2022-2024 Camp Echo, Ceramics Program Director (3 summers), Echo Lake, New York, USA Planned and taught 5-6 classes a day, 6 days a week (8 weeks) for 500 campers with minimal help, campers age range from 7-17, expanded program to include teaching staff programming for kitchen/support camp staff and nurses Load/unload and fire 2 large kilns
2015-2021 Art In Seattle, LLC, Owner/Operator, Seattle, WA, USA
Taught all levels of ceramics to children ages 5-18 and private lessons to adults, hand building and wheel throwing. Group sizes from 2-100.
2020 Seattle Girls School, Seattle, WA, USA
Taught intermediate ceramics classes to high school girls
2019 KidsQuest Museum, Bellevue, WA, USA
Ceramics classes through the City of Seattle library system and sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts. The program that I participated in was about learning from other cultures. I taught four classes at four different library locations and they were about Hebrew words and their meaning including peace (shalom), love (chesed), water (mayim), and hand (yad). We made clay beads with Hebrew letters stamped on them to spell out the word(s) of choice to be later assembled into a bracelet or necklace. It was a great success!

As part of Art In Seattle, I developed and expanded from 1 to 3 after school classes including beginning ceramics, intermediate ceramics, & multicultural world art
Taught lessons that built upon skills and also had students design their own projects. I enjoyed seeing the evolution of expertise and ideas and had many continuing students
2011 Ceramics Art Director, New Jersey Y Round Lake Camp, Lakewood, PA, USA
Ordered all studio supplies at a camp for special needs youth (ages 7-21), formulated lesson plans, taught pinch, coil and wheel throwing for 6 days a week. I helped in other capacities at camp including baking challah (for about 150 people), leading a field trip and buying and organizing art supplies for the drama, arts, and crafts program.

2009 Ceramics Art Director, New Jersey ‘Y’, Camp Shoshanim, Lakewood PA, USA
Ordered all studio supplies (including wheels and kiln) for a new camp of 65 girls (ages 7-15), formulated lesson plans, taught 6 days a week with two assistants, including pinch, coil, slab techniques and wheel throwing as well. I also taught painting and drawing and assisted with the creation of stage props for the drama program.

Co-taught beginning ceramics class of 30 bachelor students. Pinch, coil and slab technique and student critique at the end of the course
2003-2005 Shoreline Community College, Community Integration Center, Community Integration Tutor and Program Assistant
Tutored students with special needs, revised employee handbook, planned field trips, wrote case notes, coordinated student and tutor schedules (ages 18 and up). I also helped students by taking notes in class, and assisted students with assignments.

2019-2021 Empty Bowls Fundraiser for North Helpline Food Bank, Seattle, WA, USA
Recruited local ceramic artists to donate bowls, sold to raise money for the food bank

This organization helped support front-line medical workers during the pandemic
Procured and coordinated delivery of organic care products from Ora’s Amazing Herbal for staff at University of Washington Medical Center

Volunteered to teach general art. This high school is for kids who have been incarcerated, homeless, or otherwise excluded from public/traditional schools.
