A little about me . . .

I attended the University of Washington, School of Art in Seattle, WA. There I primarily studied ceramics but also focused on art history, worked inside the foundry pouring aluminum and bronze, and was a teaching assistant in beginning ceramics class for a quarter.

After finishing school, I chose to build up my own business, which out of necessity, started as a ‘side gig’. As the sole provider for my 2 children, I wanted to find a way to care for them and also follow my heart. ‘Art in Seattle’ was born and I have taught after school, and in school, ceramics to all ages. This includes having helped start ceramic programs at sleep away summer camps in New Jersey (‘Y’ camps), one of which was for children with special needs. I have also been the art director at BB camp in Oregon and am now running the ceramics program at a large summer camp in New York, Camp Echo. I really enjoy teaching and connecting with students, helping them experience their artistic side.

I’ve also taught via Bellevue Children’s Museum at local libraries through a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. This series of classes focused on sharing culture through clay.

Currently, I’m based out of Trento, Italy and am pivoting to focus on enhancing my sculpting skills, create new work, and apply to graduate school.
