Tricia is multi-disciplinary artist whose art addresses the human condition, societal norms, emotion, the subconscious, and nature. Through the use of clay, beeswax, tree resin, photo, and found materials, she incorporates environmentally sustainable art making into her practice. She is currently working on completing her master’s degree in sculpture at Rome University of Fine Art in Rome, Italy. Tricia previously completed a Bachelors of Fine Arts at the University of Washington, School of Art, in Seattle, WA and was on the Dean’s List.
As the creator and owner of Art In Seattle , she has extensive experience teaching primarily ceramics in schools, overnight camps, and giving private lessons. Most recently, she was the head of the ceramics program for 3 summers at a large summer camp (500 kids) in New York, Camp Echo. Additionally, she has started ceramic programs at sleep away summer camps in 2 New Jersey (‘NJY’ camps), one of which was for children with special needs. She was a teaching artist via KidsQuest Children’s Museum in local libraries in the Seattle area through a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and taught a series of classes focused on sharing culture through clay.
“Becoming”, her most current body of work, is an introspective series of sculptures made over approximately 7 months addressing inquiries of body space, longing, and self-identity. Each piece is made from a cast of her body that she then enveloped with beeswax, tree resin, and pigments.
Tricia has been accepted as an assistant for 2 months at La Meridiana, School of Ceramics, in Tuscany in the spring of 2026. She is also currently developing various projects.
